WHAT IS REVIT MODELLING?

IRevit modelling is the production of an intelligent, parametric 3D model — walls, slabs, roofs, facades and other structural and architectural elements — built in Autodesk Revit, or ArchiCAD where that's the project's platform, from laser scan point cloud data.

Unlike a CAD drawing, a Revit or ArchiCAD model carries real building data such as wall types, dimensions and materials that a design team can build on directly, and can be delivered to whichever Level of Development your project needs, from LOD 100 through to LOD 400.

WHEN IS REVIT MODELLING USED?

  • Architects and engineers working natively in Revit or ArchiCAD who need an accurate existing-condition model to design against

  • Refurbishment and extension projects where the proposed design will be developed inside the existing-condition model

  • Projects with a BIM Execution Plan specifying Revit or ArchiCAD as the common data environment platform

  • Design coordination where clash detection against existing structure is needed

    Architecture and Structural elements as standard — MEP modelling is currently outside our scope
    Model built to your project's shared coordinates, matched to site control

  • LOD 400 models available where the deliverable is intended for Facilities Management

  • Not currently — our modelling scope covers Architecture and Structural disciplines. MEP modelling and deliverables are outside our scope at present.

  • Yes — send us your BEP and Revit or ArchiCAD template/standards and we'll model to match.

  • Yes — we select the platform based on your project's requirements, and can deliver in either Revit or ArchiCAD.
