Now developing his practical skills on site, he contributes a growing understanding of both building and highway construction. Ramesh joined AKN Engineering in May 2025 and has already made a standout impression with both our team and our clients. With a Master's degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from Heriot-Watt University, he brings a strong technical foundation and a fantastic work ethic to site.

Pruthvi (PJ) specialises in underground utility detection and mapping, helping clients understand what lies beneath the surface before work begins. Combining EML, GPR and existing utility records, he produces clear, reliable surveys that support safe excavation and informed construction planning. Methodical and detail-driven, PJ takes pride in delivering accurate results that keep projects moving and site teams safe.

Harsha is a senior member of our utility surveying team, focused on locating and mapping buried services to PAS 128 standards. He uses a combination of electromagnetic location and ground penetrating radar to identify the route, depth and type of underground assets, turning complex site data into clear, usable drawings. Alongside his utility work, Harsha also carries out topographic surveys, capturing accurate site detail and levels to support design and construction. Thorough and dependable, he is committed to giving clients the confidence they need to plan and build safely.

Chandu is a versatile all-rounder who brings precision and a calm, methodical approach to every project. Comfortable across the full range of our services, he handles everything from steel frame to reinforced concrete works, setting out reference points, levels and alignments that keep construction true to design from the very first peg. Reliable, adaptable and quick to learn, Chandu has earned the trust of the site teams he works alongside and is a dependable presence on any job.

Vijay is a sharp, capable engineer who has quickly become a reliable pair of hands across our setting out and piling works. He has a natural feel for the detail that matters on site, translating design into precise positions on the ground and keeping foundation and structural works accurate and on programme. Hard-working and unflappable under pressure, Vijay is a valued member of the team who consistently delivers to a high standard.

Saikumar Reddy is a dependable site engineer who supports project delivery across a broad range of our works, from setting out through to general site engineering on both building and highways schemes. Calm and methodical, he has a strong grasp of site operations and a knack for keeping tasks accurate and on programme. A steady, adaptable presence on site, Saikumar is a trusted member of the team who consistently delivers to a high standard.

Praveen is a versatile site engineer who supports project delivery across setting out, surveying and general site engineering. With a solid technical foundation and a practical, hands-on approach, he contributes to safe, high-quality work on both building and highways schemes. Adaptable and eager to learn, Praveen is a dependable team player who's always ready to get stuck in.

Mohan is a skilled setting out engineer with particular strength in piling setting out and deep drainage. Using high-precision instruments, he marks out pile locations, levels and spacing to get foundation works right first time, and translates drainage designs into accurate positions and gradients on the ground to keep systems constructed to spec. Focused and dependable, Mohan thrives in the fast-paced environment of major foundation and infrastructure projects, delivering the precision that keeps groundworks on track.

Zara joined our team in May 2023 to support in the continued growth and development of AKN Engineering and keep the wheels and cogs turning in the background from a Marketing and Operational perspective. She's great at keeping us organised too!

Laurie plays a key role in keeping AKN Engineering's client relationships running smoothly, managing our CRM and supporting the business development side of things behind the scenes.
